Our story
Once upon a time. And once again.
Every fairytale has a beginning. Ours starts in an ancient villa nestled between Murgia and Valle d’Itria, once home to the noble Neapolitan family Carracciolo del Sole.
Handed down through the Caracciolo lineage from one generation to the next, the villa eventually came into the hands of brothers Gaetano and Troiano Caracciolo, Duke of Venosa and Bishop of Nola, who, in 1710, chose to donate it to Don Vito Petrelli, Archpriest of Turi.
In his will, the priest left the villa to the Congregazione del Santissimo Sacramento, on the condition that its income be used to celebrate Mass. This is how “Il Santissimo” was officially born: a place of worship, service, and grace.
Through the twists of history, after the French conquest of the Kingdom of Naples led to the confiscation of Church estates, the villa moved through many hands before becoming the property of Cavaliere del Lavoro Saverio De Bellis, remembered as “the father of Puglian industry.”
From a place of faith
to a temple to emotions
In 2009, the Valentini family of Locorotondo acquired the Masseria, driven by the desire to turn the villa into a haven of hospitality, celebration, and emotion. The name “Il Santissimo” was preserved as a tribute to its long legacy of faith, beauty, and warm reception.
Today, the estate is regarded as one of the most distinguished wedding and event destinations in Puglia. In 2025, its offerings grow to include an à la carte restaurant, a four-star hotel, and newly designed congress areas for the business sector.
Thus, new pages of this story continue to unfold, staying true to the spirit of Puglia: the art of hosting emotions has become our promise.
